How to change the world

Changing the world is a common phrase commonly used to refer to a situation whereby people are obligated to be part of birthing a solution to a problem for the betterment of things. Although, the phrase is widely misunderstood as many define it through the trajectory of influence only, changing the world is more than influence. So the question is, what is the true meaning of changing the world? and how do you change the world? Well, according to my understanding, changing the world is the manifestation of thought within oneself, of believing in a greater purpose, for the goodwill of things around. In other words, it is like a calling, to bring forth a legitimate solution to a problem, legitimately. This calling begins from inside as a thought triggered by the presence of an uncomfortable situation that demands nothing but a solution.

Change is inevitable and also a necessity in our day-to-day lives because as human beings we are designed in a way that we tend to crave new ways of doing things and the existence of new things. Like they say, what made you happy yesterday is not a guarantee that it will also make you happy today, that’s why a little change is necessary and also part of life. As humans we evolve daily, meaning we also either become destructive or become constructive, and for this reason, most people are driven to an entitlement to develop new ways of doing things to catch up with the rapid evolution of people.

To change the world you need to discover your purpose, which is not self-centered, and believe in something bigger than you. You need to have the desire to work on something for the benefit of others and be ready to kill yourself for the same. It has to come with a price tag.

Since you can’t bring a solution to where a problem doesn’t exist, it means that before the thought of changing the world, there must be an uncomfortable problem that triggers one's soul to produce a solution. Like I said you can’t bring a solution to where a problem doesn’t exist, also it’s true to say that you are not supposed to create a problem for you to bring a solution.

To change the world you must have clarity of purpose. You can’t change the world by disguising yourself as a world changer for selfish reasons. Everyone has a unique purpose, and everyone is equipped uniquely for their individual assignment. We all have tools that we just need to discover their use and we don’t need to use other people’s tools for our own assignment.

To change the world it has to begin with you, your mind, and your environment, because if you can’t change you, then you cannot change anything or anyone. You first need to be the reflection of what is in your mind because It’s easy to convince people about something if you have credibility. It has to at least work for you before you expect it to work for others. You can’t preach about peace to the nations when you don’t have peace in your own house.

Changing the world is a form of a legacy, that which you leave behind to be remembered for and passed on as a blueprint for future generations. Everyone needs a legacy, meaning that everyone is a world changer in their own way, you just need to figure out your kind. Like I said we are called for a specific and unique assignment in this world that’s why changing the world is not for particular people but for everyone. Most people die with their untapped potential that could have solved most of the world's problems because they failed to recognize what they had and who they were. Self-denial is one of the root causes of most of the problems in this world. If every person could just embrace who they really are and be productive with their potential and their unique nature, where they are located, we could be living in a better place. But it’s never too late. You can still start from where you are, it doesn’t have to be the world literally. Your world could be one person, two people, a community, a society, a friends group, a club, your workplace etc.

Accept who you are, and what you have and make use of it where you are. You don’t need to be like Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, Martha Terressa, or Barack Obama to be a world changer. You already have enough to change the world. The size of who knows you doesn’t matter because we all have different callings, what matters is do you believe you can change the world? If yes, then you already have your world around you. Start where you are, the first world to change is your mindset.
