If you have to do something, do it better
The world we are living in today is revolutionary in nature, a world that is so transitive and competitive in a way that, what was popular yesterday cannot be popular today, what was selling yesterday doesn’t sell the same way today. Times are changing in the blink of an eye. New kinds of stuff and new innovative ways are popping up replacing what people might have been used to. For this reason, this knowledge acts as a reminder that the season of being average is long gone that’s why we need to diversify our prowess and be woke in a way that we can easily learn to adjust to the current season by doing it better.
Everyone is skilled and talented in different areas and as the world is taking this competitive route, most of the time you might find yourself in situations, where, what you are good at, there’s another person around who does it better than you. This means that for you to remain relevant in that space you have to do it two times better than how you do it to remain relevant because longevity in anything you do is wrapped around the concept of doing it better than the next person.
In the business world, you will realize that people love good stuff, and if you can’t put out good stuff someone else will do it and get paid. You can’t do things in the same way and expect different results. That is why consistency without progressive growth is just repetition.
There’s always a market for what you do. There are customers waiting for that product that you are selling, there are fans, followers, investors, partners and so many other people out there waiting to support, invest, and collaborate with you in what you do. You are just not seen why, because you are not putting it out in a better way. This mostly is brought about by the idea of people settling for average and being comfortable with the wins of yesterday which arguably kills in different ways. We all have the opportunity to do it better, to go harder, to explore, and to be more creative in what we do. Just because it worked out and it’s proving a point doesn’t give you a reason to settle and be comfortable at that level. Like I said if you can’t do it better, then someone else will. If you have to do something then, do it better.
For you to do it better you have to master the art of preparation before execution. This means taking that course and going to class. Educate yourself or acquire a skill in alignment with how a particular field operates before you jump in or start selling or putting something out. A baby stays in the womb for at least 9 months to give room for the mother to psychologically prepare to take responsibility for the child. She has to master what it takes to keep the baby in a healthy way before the baby comes out. The opposite can be tragic, it's like putting out what you have not well prepared for it will keep you in a cycle of being average and attracting temporary or seasonal audiences, because what we do sometimes doesn’t get to the targeted market or audience because of our own limitations. We potentially limit ourselves to do it better as a reserve for future execution when we are maybe big enough to do it better, instead of throwing our whole self into something even when we have little or no audience or buyers. You can’t preserve your current potential for future use because it will prevent you from discovering other different untapped potentials in you. It’s time to do it better!
